The Partners (brand consultancy) : ウィキペディア英語版 | The Partners (brand consultancy)
The Partners was founded in 1983 in London by a group of five designers: Aziz Cami, Keren House, David Stuart, Malcolm Swatridge and Nick Wurr, who named the business ‘The Partners’ to celebrate their creative collaboration. The company is one of the longest established brand and design consultancies in London. In 1992 Aziz Cami became the youngest President of D&AD, Design and Art Direction, British association for design and advertising. David Stuart, also President of D&AD (2001), is a co-author of a seminal book on graphic design, A Smile in the Mind, published by Phaidon Press in 1995. == A Smile in the Mind ==
"A Smile in the Mind: Witty thinking in graphic design" is a graphic design book, co-written by Beryl McAlhone and The Partners' co-founder David Stuart. Published in 1996 by Phaidon Press it became an authority on graphic design and is included on the design curriculum reading list. It analyses the intricate thought processes behind the apparently forward images and explores so-called 'witty thinking', playfulness with ideas, words playing against images, and unexpected connections prompting new insights. The book, featuring work from over 300 designers in the USA, Britain, Europe and Japan, and a series of in-depth interviews with the world's top designers, including Ivan Chermayeff, Milton Glaser and John Gorham suggests how to get inspiration.〔
